Refund Policy

Effective August 5, 2026

All sales are final. Hefty Search comes with a 14-day free trial with full features, so you can be sure it works for you before you pay. Once you purchase, we don't offer refunds as a matter of course.

When we'll make an exception

If Hefty Search genuinely isn't working for you, email contact@heftysearch.app within 14 days of purchase, from the email address you used at checkout (or include your order number from the receipt). Tell us what's wrong and show us what you can.

• We look at each case on its own. Screenshots, a short description of the problem, anything that shows the issue is real, all of it helps. Vague dissatisfaction with no detail isn't enough.
• Where there's enough to see the problem is genuine, we'll make it right. In most cases that means issuing you a spare license key rather than a cash refund, and a refund only where one is truly warranted.

What happens after a refund

If a refund is issued, your license key is deactivated and Hefty Search will return to the activation screen on your Mac. Everything Hefty Search created on your device (its search index) stays on your device, you can delete it from Settings before uninstalling, and your photos and files are of course untouched.

After 14 days

Past the 14-day window we can't promise anything, but email us anyway, if something is broken for you, we'd rather fix it or make it right than leave you stuck.
